G.I. Joe & M.A.S.K.

BWARD,

Are there any plans to release the DIC version of G.I. Joe or M.A.S.K  in the future?

Has Shout! looked into the possibility of releasing  Pirates of Dark Water or Saturday Supercade?

Pirates might have some success in today's market due to the popularity of Pirates of the Carribean.  I heard it had really good ratings the first season, but due to production issues (not releasing episodes in time), it faded the second season.  Pirates is H-B, so I don't know if that means WB has the rights, but they don't seem to be doing anything with it if they do.

Sadly, M.A.S.K. is a no go and the rights to the DiC G.I. Joe series are up in the air. Not sure who owns what. As for Pirates and Saturday Supercade, I'll look into them. Thanks!

thanks.

Any particular reason why M.A.S.K. is a no go?

Not sure, exactly. We've attempted to get the rights before, but with no luck. There may very well be rights issues, since the cartoon was produced by DiC, but based on a toyline by Kenner (which is now owned by Hasbro).
