Member since: 8/29/2008 | | idea for DVD cover of AoStH 3 | I had an idea for the cover of the 3rd AoStH DVD let me know what u think and yes most of the pics were traced but it to get an idea of what the 3rd and best final volume of Sonic should look like

Unfortunatly for shout! to be able to use this as their cover art they would have to clear the rights with whoever orignally designed the cover. And for legal purposes they would probably have to clear it with you too segasonic. |

The characters designs used in Sonic 3 (and Sonic and Knuckles) are very different from that of the cartoon. One of the biggest differences is the number of fingers. Unlike the later cartoons (Sonic Underground) Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog uses 4 fingers for its characters. Compare the number of fingers on the cover you used to this
Then you also have the in game render of Sonic used for the logo, who also has five fingers
Also note the difference in the color palate. Every Sonic cartoon series has a brighter or darker color palate (in this case the colors are brighter). You also might want to rearrange the position of the emeralds. The emerald in the middle of the 3 in the logo seems a little out of place.
There are a couple of other minor things as well, but it's still an interesting concept for a design. If Shout were to use it they would have to insert and edit the image with different character models as well as fix up a couple of other areas so the image would fit in with the cartoon it's designed for.

I think there was an episode of AoStH when Sonic held up 3 fingers. Also, The UK video AoStH 3 uses the same Sonic model but like I said a fun little idea. Oh yeah and I didn't use Photoshop...I used paint

For those that have seen the bonus materials on previous sets, I will remind you that Robby London told a story about the three fingers vs. four fingers of Sonic. SEGA would never approve a cover without four fingers now. At least, not knowingly. Sonic simply has four fingers and a thumb.
