In the pilot episode of Inspector Gadget, Gadget had a moustache just like Clouseau from The Pink Panther. It was removed afterwards apparently because he was too similar to Clouseau. The episode was even revoiced so Gadget could claim the moustache was simply part of a disguise.
The series was later adapted into a feature film of the same name, starring Matthew Broderick as the Inspector, and a direct-to-video sequel starring French Stewart. |
