My Little Pony is an animated television series based on the original Hasbro toys. The original series premiered on September 1, 1986 and ran until December 5, 1992.

The children’s show is based around Ponyland, a mystical land home to all kinds of magical creatures. The ponies live a peaceful life filled with song and games, until they find themselves fighting for survival against witches, trolls, goblins and other mysterious beasts. Based on one of the most beloved toylines of the 1980's, My Little Pony started out as a couple of animated specials and a feature film before finally becoming a cartoon series.

A new series of My Little Pony movies launched in 2005, including the 2009 feature, Twinkle Wish Adventure.
