In search of the ultimate coolness, Parker Lewis and his friends journey through the turbulent years of adolescence. Parker Lewis’s life motto, “not a problem,” helps get him in and out of sticky situations around Santo Domingo High School in the early nineties.
Based largely on the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and a predecessor to the television series Saved By The Bell, the sitcom, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, gives its own take on the antics of teens in high school. The show also incorporates an almost surreal or cartoon-like setting which is enhanced by obscure camera angles and filming techniques.
Parker Lewis Can’t Lose acts as a cultural time capsule. Each character represents a different stereotype of the time and infuses popular songs, celebrities and politics into their everyday chit-chat.
Parker Lewis aired three seasons from 1990 to 1993. The show and its young actors and actresses were nominated for several Young Artist Awards during the show’s run on FOX.
