Modern day, twenty-something year old odd couple, Malcolm McGee (Malcolm Jamal-Warner) and Eddie Sherman (Eddie Griffin), share an apartment and a business in Kansas City, Missouri. Malcolm is a responsible and even-minded individual who is constantly getting into trouble with his fast-talking, comical roommate, Eddie.

Each episode follows Malcolm & Eddie as they start a new business, McGee’s Irish Pub, and the antics they encounter. Eddie also has high aspirations of turning his one-truck towing business into a huge money maker. The various patrons at the bar and other friends stir-up their lives and the irresistible comedic duo play-off every minute of it.

The series ran for four seasons from 1996 to 2000 and originally aired on UPN. It later re-ran on BET in 2008 and continues to air on the British Channel, Trouble. It received a nomination at the NAACP Image Awards and a nomination for the Art Directors Guild’s Excellence in Production Design Award.
