With awesomely successful, decade-spanning careers and countless fans, both Tammy Wynette and Marty Robbins solidified a place in country music history and rightfully earned the coveted title of country music legend.

“The First Lady of Country Music,” Tammy Wynette is one of the genre’s most celebrated and influential artists. Throughout the late 1960s and ’70s, she reigned supreme on the country charts with popular songs that included 20 #1 hits.

This collection of rare performances includes footage captured on film and video between 1967 and 1980 that has since been archived by the Country Music Hall of Fame. Extras include an interview with Tammy Wynette, footage of Wynette and George Richey’s wedding, as well as her induction into the Hall of Fame.

Legendary Performances fruitfully captures one of the most eclectic country artists of all time, Marty Robbins. The Grand Ole Opry member, nicknamed “Mr. Teardrop,” combined country with pop, rock 'n' roll, R&B, western ballads and more. He had nearly 100 charting singles, including 16 #1 country hits and seven Top 20 pop hits, and in 1959, he was awarded the first Grammy for a country music song.
