On the heels of their enormously popular TV show, the Upright Citizens Brigade (Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, Matt Walsh) has also become the hugely popular improv training and performance space.
The group emerged from Chicago's ImprovOlympic in 1990, and relocated to New York City in 1997, opening up the first theater in 1999. In 2003, another theater opened in Los Angeles. The Upright Citizens Brigade have also been a featured performance in the Comedy Tent at the annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN for the past several years.
The 1964 feature film is the first concert movie of the rock era, capturing such superstars as the Rolling Stones, James Brown, Chuck Berry, the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, and many other Motown and British Invasion acts in their early prime.
