This past Thanksgiving, we held our second Mystery Science Theater 3000Turkey Day Marathon. As an encore to our award-winning livestream event in 2013 (and carrying the torch of a beloved tradition on Comedy Central in the ’90s), we played six classic MST3K episodes, complete with brand new intros by Joel (and some robotic special guests) and a sneak peek at the “History of Turkey Day” bonus feature from MST3K: Volume XXXI – The Turkey Day Collection.

Just like last year, the event was a smashing success, with over 100,000 unique visitors tuning in to enhance their Thanksgiving meals!

The six episodes (which were a highly-guarded government secret before the marathon started) that caused people to opt out of parades and football were:

The Magic Voyage of Sinbad

Giant Spider Invasion

Lost Continent

Laserblast

Pod People

The Pumaman

The event was also streamed at Pluto.TV on their MST3K channel.

Turkey Day Selfies

The best part of the day for us, though, was hearing the fans talk about how much fun they were having! There was such a lively conversation on social media that we were trending:

In the midst of all the comments on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, we asked you to send us photos of yourselves watching the marathon. We got quite a lot of them! Here are just a few examples:

One thing we noticed was that a lot of you had, well, company as you watched...

Thank You

We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who tuned in and let us invade their homes and become a part of their family traditions!
