Wait, it's 2014 already? 2013 sure flew by fast, probably because we were partying for a year straight to celebrate turning 10 years old as a company. We offered killer sales and a ton of rad contests to mark the occasion, plus we were required to wear party hats as part of the office dress code!

OK, that last part might not be true. But we did have a lot of fun last year, and now it's time to look ahead to what's in store for 2014. We didn't make a lot of New Year's resolutions, but we did resolve to release as many amazing DVDs, Blu-rays and music titles as possible, curate and create the best of the best in bonus material, and eat more green, leafy vegetables. Here's a little peek at what's ahead in the next few months, minus the vegetables.

Breakin' The Law: The Best Cop Shows Ever

We have some excellent TV shows coming to DVD this year, but we are particularly excited about Hill Street Blues: The Complete Series (April 29). It's a massive DVD box set (34 discs) of one of the greatest cop shows — no, forget that, one of the greatest shows period — in the history of TV! It's on DVD for the first time, plus you can get free standard shipping and early delivery if you order from shoutfactory.com.

That's not enough police drama, you say? Then let us introduce you to a little show called NYPD Blue. Maybe you've heard of it? Like Hill Street Blues, it's a Steven Bochco creation featuring Dennis Franz (that guy really loved playing a cop), plus it's yet another entry in the category of best-cop-shows-wait-no-actually-best-TV-shows-ever. We're picking it up from Season Five, out this month.

If you need to watch a little more of the legal process, we're very happy to be putting L.A. Law (yet another Steven Bochco show) out on DVD for the first time in February, beginning with Season One. That seems like a pretty good place to start.

Oh, The Horror!

Keeping up with their age-old tradition, Scream Factory's New Year's resolution was to continue bringing amazing Collector's Edition Blu-rays to your home theater. OK, so that tradition is actually just over a year old, but we're not sure of the cut-off for being considered "age-old." A couple of Scream Factory films packed with bonus features to look forward to are Night Of The Demons and Darkman, but let's not forget some other, equally-collectible Blu-rays coming from Scream Factory in 2014 like Die Monster Die and the HD debut of The Slumber Party Massacre! Yes, that's a slumber party in hi-def. We'll wait while you place your order.

Legendary Music

Everyone at Shout is a huge music fan, so we'd be remiss if we didn't mention two fantastic releases for the music fan in February: the latest album from rockers Big Head Todd & the Monsters (Black Beehive) as well as Festival Express, a rail-traveling concert film featuring such little-known artists as Grateful Dead and The Band. The Festival Express is basically the train you wish you took to work every morning so you could watch Jerry Garcia jam with Janis Joplin instead of watching strangers stand in silence, staring at their phones.

...And Beyond!

This is just a taste of what's to come in the immediate future from Shout! Factory in 2014. We have so many awesome releases planned for this year that we can only scratch the surface in a single post. We love to hear your feedback and requests, so be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to get in touch! You can also find us on Instagram and Tumblr. See you in 2014!
