2015 is so last year. A new year means starting fresh, resolving to stop stealing your neighbor's Wi-Fi and looking ahead at all the amazing things that are to come in 2016. At Shout! Factory we have a lot to look forward to this year, and while we can't reveal our whole release schedule, here are a few things you'll be seeing from us very soon.
The Highest Definition
With more people investing in 4K ultra-HD televisions, fans of ridiculously-hi-def media will be needing great content to watch. What better films to get our UHD on than eye-poppingly beautiful IMAX movies like Journey To Space, Flight Of The Butterflies and Wonders Of The Arctic? We'll be launching our maiden voyage into 4K later this year. For those still perfectly happy with their Blu-ray players, we'll be releasing these in good, old-fashioned HD Blu-ray as well!
Oh, The Horror!
2016 just wouldn't feel right if we didn't have a ton of great Scream Factory releases to satisfy your craving for blood, gore and Meryl Streep. We've got plenty of great Collector's Edition releases coming up like The Serpent And The Rainbow and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, classic horror flicks like Death Becomes Her and our next Vincent Price Collection, even great new horror releases like The Boy and Zombie Fight Club to look forward to.
HD Freaks, HD Geeks
Freaks And Geeks was one of Shout! Factory's earliest success stories and continues to be one of our most popular releases. Now, after high demand, we are finally able to release this beloved TV show on Blu-ray for the first time ever. Relive all the awkwardness and glory of high school in crystal-clear high definition!
Keep The Music Playing
Shout! Factory's roots are in the music business, so we always love bringing cool music releases to our fans. Learn more about rock 'n' roll icon Slash in Slash: Raised On The Sunset Strip and witness the ultimate collaboration of artists from the venerated past and vital present Memphis music scene in Take Me To The River. 
Chuck Norris Has Arrived
We've never had a Chuck Norris movie on our roster (other than his appearance in the Bruce Lee film The Way Of The Dragon), so we thought 2016 should be the year to change that with releases like Braddock: Missing In Action III and Invasion U.S.A. Although to be fair, a Chuck Norris movie doesn't get released so much as a Chuck Norris movie decides on its own to stop being unreleased.
Changing The Channel
Last year we launched Shout! Factory TV, our first-ever streaming service. Since then we've built up quite a library of cult and classic TV shows and films available to watch for free, and we will continue to add new content every month in 2016. Check out episodes of Home Movies, MST3K and Father Knows Best, check out Shout! Factory originals like Backlot, then watch films like Kentucky Fried Movie, Night Of The Demons and Festival Express. New MST3K Is Coming!
We will continue releasing Mystery Science Theater 3000 DVD sets as usual this year (Volume XXXV is next), but the big news is that show creator Joel Hodgson successfully crowdfunded a brand new season of the show and has already started pre-production on the episodes! Everyone at Shout! Factory is looking forward to seeing those episodes in the not-too-distant future, but until that happens we have your covered with your MSTie fix...
